Schöppingen, April 23, 2025 – Shopware, the leading open-source e-commerce platform, has once again been recognized as one of the top-performing companies in the digital economy in this year’s edition of the prestigious Emerce100. The company secured leading positions in two categories, underlining its continued innovation and strong market presence.
The Emerce100 is a special annual edition of the Dutch business magazine Emerce, offering a comprehensive overview of the best-performing companies in the e-business sector. Evaluations are based on independent market research, considering criteria such as expertise, price-performance ratio, service quality, and reliability. Companies are rated on a 7-point scale.
Top Rankings in Two Categories
In the category “Open Source E-Commerce Software,” Shopware scored 5 out of 7 points, placing it at the top of the field for the fifth consecutive year.
In the category “Commercial E-Commerce Software,” Shopware achieved an even higher score of 5.5 out of 7 points, marking a 0.5-point improvement compared to last year and securing the leading position together with DynamicWeb.
About the Emerce100
The Emerce100 is based on a reputation survey conducted by the independent research agency Motivaction. In 2025, over 1,000 companies across 59 categories were assessed, including players from digital agencies, media, advertising, software, venture capital, and e-business services. The Emerce100 has become an essential benchmark for quality and performance in the digital sector and is now in its 20th annual edition.
“This recognition in the Emerce100 is a tremendous honor and a powerful motivation to continue our path forward,” says Stefan Hamann, Co-CEO of Shopware. “We are grateful to our partners, customers, and the entire Shopware team whose innovation, dedication, and expertise made this achievement possible.”
